Tile Roof Repair in Las Vegas
Concrete tile is one of the two most common roof types in the Las Vegas Valley. Tiles handle sun and heat well, but the underlayment below them is what actually keeps water out, and it ages faster than the tile. Tell us what you’re seeing and we’ll connect you with an independent local roofer.

Concrete tile itself can last around 50 years, but local roofing sources quoted by the Las Vegas Review-Journal estimate the underlayment beneath it may need attention after about 15–20 years in desert heat. Tiles also help shade and ventilate the underlayment, so cracked or missing tiles should be replaced quickly to protect what’s underneath.
Common tile roof repairs
- Broken or slipped tile replacement. Swapping out cracked, chipped, or displaced tiles, ideally with matching profiles and colors.
- Ridge and hip repairs. Resetting or re-securing ridge and hip tiles that have loosened.
- Flashing repairs. Fixing flashing at walls, valleys, and penetrations where many tile roof leaks start.
- “Raise and reset” (underlayment replacement). Lifting the existing tiles, installing new underlayment and flashing, then resetting the tiles. It is often an alternative to a full replacement when the tiles are still in good shape.
Signs you may need a tile roof repair
- Cracked, slipped, or missing tiles visible from the ground
- Water stains on ceilings after rain
- Tile debris in gutters or on the ground
- A roof that’s 15+ years old and has never had its underlayment checked
Typical costs
Angi lists typical tile roof repairs at roughly $900–$2,500 nationally, with broken-tile replacement around $300–$1,000 and underlayment repair around $700–$2,500. These are typical national ranges, not quotes. See the cost guide.
Before you hire
Whoever you end up hiring, the Nevada State Contractors Board recommends checking the contractor’s license on the NSCB website, getting the scope and price in a written contract, and not paying in cash.
