Roof Leak Repair in Las Vegas
Las Vegas is the driest major metro in the continental U.S., so a lot of roof problems go unnoticed until the first monsoon storm finds them. If you’ve spotted a ceiling stain or dripping water, use the form below and we’ll pass your request to an independent local roofer who can track down the source.

- Worn underlayment under tile. Concrete tile can last for decades, but the underlayment beneath it wears out much sooner in desert heat. When it fails, water that gets past the tiles reaches the roof deck.
- Cracked or slipped tiles and lifted shingles. Wind, foot traffic, and heat cycling can crack tiles or loosen shingles, opening a path for water.
- Flashing and penetrations. Metal flashing around chimneys, walls, skylights, vents, and pipes is a frequent leak point once sealant dries out and cracks.
- Ponding on flat roofs. Low spots on flat and low-slope roofs can hold water and work through worn coatings or seams.
What a roofer typically does
- Looks for interior signs (stains, drips, damp insulation) and traces them back to the roof.
- Inspects the roof surface, flashing, vents, and any valleys or transitions above the leak.
- Recommends a repair, such as resealing or replacing flashing, replacing broken tiles or shingles, patching a flat roof, or replacing underlayment in the affected area.
- If water is actively coming in, may install a temporary cover until a permanent repair can be made.
What to do while you wait
- Move belongings away from the drip and put down a bucket or towels.
- Take photos of interior damage and note when the leak started; it helps the roofer and any insurance claim.
- Don’t climb on a wet or tile roof yourself. Tile can crack under foot and is slippery.
Typical costs
National cost guides put most roof leak repairs at roughly $360–$1,550 (Angi) or $350–$1,500 (Fixr). These are typical national ranges, not quotes; your price depends on the roof type, the cause, and access. See the roof repair cost guide for more detail.
Before you hire
Whoever you end up hiring, the Nevada State Contractors Board recommends checking the contractor’s license on the NSCB website, getting the scope and price in a written contract, and not paying in cash.
