Roof Inspections in Las Vegas

A roof inspection is the simplest way to find small problems, like a cracked tile or worn flashing, before they turn into leaks. Request one below and we’ll connect you with an independent local roofer.

Good times to get an inspection

  • Before monsoon season (early summer), so problems are fixed before July–August storms.
  • After a major wind or rain event.
  • When buying or selling a home.
  • On an older roof. The median Las Vegas-area home was built around 1997 (Census data cited by the Review-Journal), and tile underlayment of that age may be due for a look.

What an inspection usually covers

  • Roof surface: tiles, shingles, or flat-roof coating
  • Flashing, valleys, vents, and penetrations
  • Signs of underlayment wear or water intrusion
  • Gutters, drainage, and ponding on flat roofs
  • Attic or interior signs of leaks, when accessible

About “free” inspections

Requests made through this page are for a free inspection. Ask the roofer to confirm there’s no charge before they come out, and ask for a written estimate for any recommended work. For reference, Angi reports that paid roof inspections nationally average about $257, with most between $125 and $392.

Before you hire

Whoever you end up hiring, the Nevada State Contractors Board recommends checking the contractor’s license on the NSCB website, getting the scope and price in a written contract, and not paying in cash.
